Blown glass bead - Real Ale

Handmade lampworked blown hollow borosilicate glass bead. I love making these. The oval shape is quite classic and very tactile, with a comfortable flattened back. The patterns remind me of gemstones, natural and striated but with a bit of an extra 'kick'. Being hollow, the bead is lightweight for its size but still has a good, solid feel. The holes are slightly above centre for hanging.

This bead is signed on the reverse with my initials. It is approx 29mm long, 26mm wide and 15mm thick (though hollow).

Hole size is approx 2mm.

All my beads are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln.
