Blown glass bead - Cathedral Floor

Handmade lampworked blown hollow borosilicate glass bead. The oval shape is quite classic and very tactile, with a comfortable flattened back. This bead has splashes of rich colour on a clear base and reminds me of the splashes of colour on cathedral floors, when the sunlight shines through a stained glass window.

Being hollow, the bead is lightweight for its size but still has a good, solid feel. The holes are slightly above centre for hanging.

This bead is approx 32mm long, 25mm wide and 15mm thick (though hollow).

Hole size is approx 2mm.

All my beads are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln.
