Forest textured glasses

Part of a continuing interest in the use of moulds to shape blown glass. For these glasses, I have developed a technique which uses a mould lined with leaves, either from the forest (ferns, moss..) or from my garden (baby kale leaves, fennel..) to transfer the leaf texture to the glass when blown.

The range of plant textured glasses that I make includes Schnapps, Wine, Prosecco/champagne, Damson Gin and ‘snowball’ glasses.  I also like to use textured goblet tops for many of my one-off pieces. They often seem to match the sculptural stem element well.
