‘Face’ tumblers

Hand blown tumbler glasses

Glass tumblers with head details ‘drawn’ on to the glass using thin rods of glass, in the flame. These coloured parts are then heated and manipulated to highlight and enhance the face.

These glass tumblers are approximately 5.8cm wide, 11cm high.

As with all my work, these glasses are flameworked by hand using a gas-fired torch. They are individually worked and shaped, meaning that each one is slightly different and unique. I don’t use a lathe or machines to form my work – just my hands to guide the glass.
