‘Lakeland Landscape’ wine glasses

Hand blown wine glasses

Wine glasses with an outline of hills ‘drawn’ on to the glass using a thin rod of glass, in the flame. With coloured stems in blue or green to match the landscape. Hand blown without the use of a mould, each landscape is different, reflecting the way the outlines of the hills constantly change as you move through them. The stem colours are mixed in the flame from rods of coloured glass.

These wine glasses are approximately 19cm high.

As with all my work, these glasses are flameworked by hand using a gas-fired torch. They are individually worked and shaped, meaning that each one is slightly different and unique. I don’t use a lathe or machines to form my work – just my hands to guide the glass.
